Math is Easy

Many of the articles I write in a series entitled “A Parent’s Guide to Basic Algebra Concepts”, the parents of students or prospective students in algebra, algebra is aligned. My goal with this series it is, parents feel confident to help their children, even if they themselves hated mathematics. For each of these items, I am assuming that the parents have little or no knowledge of algebra. I think all it took was once forgotten. Then I try to teach as well as I write. Since I do not mean “students” sit in front of me have done, I need a way to make sure I explained things so that people can understand hate math even more. For this box, I use my best friend who hates to this day mathematics. If she understands what I write, so I know it is safe to publish. The only problem with this strategy is that it breaks a sweat with full honesty every time she reads an article for me. How do you know this? Math should not sweat the whole world!
Once I have a product that had to test it for me, I saw her read. I watched as drops of sweat formed on his forehead. I watched as she became increasingly restless. I watched as she moans and looks really desperate face, and I watched her read over and over documents. After a few minutes, I stopped, told him I appreciated his efforts, but I could not go to her. As a very special friend, she is, she insisted on, and his suggestions are invaluable. But such a cost!
As I watched my friend struggle with the explanation of adding algebraic fractions with different denominators – a skill that no doubt difficult for many people – was all I could think to ask what had made mathematical than negative force in his life. We obviously have this question several times without good answers.
The question of mathematical strong negative impact on the people as a concern is huge! Note that my friend and I are retired. This tells you that his feelings about mathematics developed long ago, and it seems that in every age since then very little, if any, lead, made progress in the teaching of mathematics to more positive feelings.
I published several articles discussing various things that need to change in mathematics education – particularly in the field of early childhood education. Unfortunately, changing the scale we need is very slow.
So what does this mean for parents of children in school today? First, you have to work hard to make your child a positive self-image and an “I am able to learn” attitude. This includes a lot of encouragement and positive reinforcement. In addition, you must do everything to help your child to be successful.
Remember: People do not want to hate what they are good and mathematics should not sweat the whole world!
